    Spidey’s got spider-sense! Batman has Bat-shark repellent.

  2. MyBoxersSayJoe Says:

The Osbornes have the same sort of resources as Batman, if not, better and Spider-Man has whipped their ass how many times???

Don’t start in with Batman’s smarts and what not, because it’s not like Peter Parker is riding the short bus…

  3. Spider-Man Says:

Yeah, I think id win there chief.

  4. LobsterJoe Says:

Spiderman all the way. Love batman but if Spiderman could manage to defeat the green goblin he could easily best Batman in a competion. Now if Batman were teamed up with superman than Batman/ Superman all the way.

  5. Tony Corazza Says:

Well even though spiderman is my favorite superhero I feel batman would win this one based on a few facts that if spiderman tried to swing during the fight batman would use a batmarang to cut the web in half causing spiderman to fall. Batman would also most likely win due to the fact that he has the claws on his gloves and if spiderman webbed him up he would manage to break free. Batman would win also due to him studying spiderman more and learn how to render his webbing useless with a chemical solution or something. However at the same time spiderman has his agility to his advantage being only half the age of batman, he also has his spider sense which is something batman doesn’t have. I feel this could go eithier way possibly but I would think in the end batman would pull out the victory.

So if Batman cut Spidey’s web, Spidey wouldn’t be able to shoot another from his other hand??
Even if he did fall, then what? Fine, render the webbing useless with a chemical, Spidey has enhanced STRENGTH, SPEED, AGILITY and SENSES. Put that against a guy who is of perhaps peak standard human condition, not of super-human status, no contest.
Why does Batman always get to study his opponent?
Let’s say the two meet with no prior history or knowledge of one another. Then in this actual fair fight scenario, Batman’s main argument point suddenly is non existent and is no longer a factor in your plea for your precious Batman’s survival against a dude who throws jeeps through buildings quite effortlessly.
But how about we give you prep time, why do you Bat-dudes think Peter Parker wouldn’t prep? Of course he would prep too, only Peter would try to use science when Bruce Wayne would ask a super computer he just bought for 3.5 magillion kagillion dollars.
    Spidey Reigns Supreme.

Didn’t both Norman and Harry use sharp projectile objects against Spider-Man in the movies? That worked out real well for them…

I’m sure the the batarang is probably the most fierce and threatening weapon that ol’ web-head could ever face.

  8. Rip_Flexwell Says:

Spider-Man clearly has more flex power. spiders have eight arms…thats a lot of arms to flex.

  9. Gummibear Boy Says:

Yeah, I would say that between having fought the Green Goblin, the Punisher, Venom, Wolverine, and a whole slew of other characters all with very diverse powers (and villains who actually have powers) Spider-Man has more than enough experience under his belt than is needed to take on all of Batman’s tricks. And Batman probably wouldn’t have time to research him before the fight anyway. I can’t see him carrying Bat Spider-Repellent wherever he goes…just in case…

Spider-man wins, but it’s not a complete domination — I’d like to bring up some of Bat’s advantages as it’s been pretty clearly explained just why Spider-man wins this fight.

Traditionally, Spider-man has never had a walk in the park with any of the major skill based characters of the marvel universe such as Captain America, Daredevil, or even Punisher (who if I recall correctly shot the web-shooters of spidey’s wrists on his first appearance). It’s this skill that will be Batman’s biggest asset, where as Spidey, who has never needed to really learn or focus on traditional fighting techniques always seems a little flustered with the highly skilled types.

Spidey’s two biggest trumps in most fights seem to be his intelligence and the Spidey sense. Couple Batman’s skill with an intelligence level that is at least equal to Parker’s own (some may argue greater) and a tactical advantage which in the past has shown a great way of coping with the Spidey sense and this is going to be a really good fight. Bat’s main means of causing pain will be his keen knowledge of the human body, presaure points, and how to capitalize on any openings he gets.

There is of course the old utility belt filled with smoke bombs, flash bombs, etc. but because most of the time Batman, in character, does not resort to these in one on one combat I’m going to assume that he’s pretty much keeping this to a batarang and grappling hook kind of night. These won’t be as useful as they typically are considering Spidey’s uncanny ability to dodge and his own incredible aerial mobility.

In the end the dang blasted wall crawler is going to have to give it his all, if his head’s not in the game that’s enough for him to lose this one.

Spider-man wins a hard fought fight.

  11. Bender Says:

    Spider-man wins this.

Batman goes through people with powers left and right, true. But Spider-man is nearly, if not as, smart, and almost as experienced.

  12. buddha boy Says:

If their encounter was random, then there would be a period when Spiderman has the upper edge due to Batman being unaware of spider-sense. But Batman being the all around badass that he is would catch on to it and Spiderman’s other powers pretty quickly. During this time, Spiderman would be, for one, scared shitless because Batman’s a frightening mother, but he’d also be somewhat unprepared for a foe who doesn’t have an obvious power (Rhino? Hammerhead?). Even if he approached Batman like he does the Green Goblin, he’d be severely underestimated Batman’s abilities such as his hand to hand combat skills and overall combat prowess. Having ninja skills and the power of deception on his side Batman could screw around with Spiderman’s spider sense and just mess with him in general like cutting his webs. The key is for Batman to control the environment and take control of the battle, letting Spiderman aimlessly swing around and shoot webs. It’d be a close fight, but Batman would in. Every time.

    Batman can’t win like that.

  15. Nelson Ribeiro Says:

Japanese TV show Spider-Man would DESTROY Adam West Batman! Spidey has a Megazord, a flying Spidey car and a huge-a$$ wristwatch where his costume come out of!

  16. MyBoxersSayJoe Says:

Nelson, as always, a wealth of information.

  17. son of venkman Says:

batman can figure out how to beat anybody… if it were just a toe-to-toe, who is stronger fight, then of course spidey has the advantage… but in an actual confrontation, batman would figure out spidey’s weakness (his attachments to the ones he loves) and batman would use this against him, sending spidey into a blind rage, giving a calm and collected batman every chance to subdue his adversary…

  18. Angry Yid 36 Says:

The Question is whether the wolf dork is asking… Bat-man Vs. Spider-man or Adam West versus Nicholas Hammond the guy that played Spider-man in that Uber-Cheesey seventies Spider-man TV show because that is the real grudge match I want to see never mind Jason Segal vs Lou Ferrigno in “I love you, Man”, Never mind Linda Carter versus whoever played Wonder Woman in the movie that came out before the Tv SHow. We want West vs. Hammond in a cage and we want it now dag-nabbit. And then its PURE WEST BABY! Two men enter only one man leaves….THIS IS THUNDER-DOME!!!!!
